Vallpalou (Teresa Vall Palou, Lleida 1951) began her artistic career at the municipal Art School of her native city. Hers is a work that, despite the multiple evocations that are both exterior (landscapes and elements of nature and the cosmos) and interior, avoids figuration and, for the same reason, the constraints of titles. The nature of the strokes and the constant experimentation with the expressive potential of the media using different supports and formats characterise her painting. Nonetheless, her artistic production also includes monotypes, etchings, raku ceramics and photography. Her work has been exhibited in Lleida, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Salamanca, among other cities, and she has taken part in international exhibitions in France and Germany.
